VOP Model Interview: Kytten Le’Mew

Here’s our interview with VOP model Kytten Le’Mew.  Kytten’s one of the long-time VOP models, who owes her modeling start to VOP himself!  Check out hear beautiful pics below!

How long have you been modeling?
I have been modeling for about 4 years now.

How’d you get started modeling?
CHRIS! He contacted me, and after I talked to a few of my friends who had also shot with him, I agreed to give it a try. I can’t thank him enough for the push he gave me, and the confidence he has helped me gain! Thank you Chris!

What’s your favorite thing about being a model?
I love the dressing up part, getting all dolled up. But I do love doing these charity events, it makes modeling worthwhile!

Who or what is your inspiration as a model?
Oh Absolutely…. Bettie Page.

What’s the best advice you received as a model?
Honestly ALL the best advice I have gotten from Rachael [Abel]. She has been a catalyst in my modeling and she just has a way of talking to me, that calms me and that always helps to be relaxed during shoots and shows!

When you’re not modeling, what do you like to do?
I love going to local shows, getting tattooed, listening to music, attempting to make jewelry and hair flowers.

When did you first work with Chris of VOP?
A few months before the first fashion show!

What’s it like behind the scenes during the VOP show?
Well, once the chaos of everyone getting there, and getting ready, its alot of fun. Most of us girls chat and have a good laugh before we line up to strut it! I find it to be a great networking and meeting opportunity!

What’s your favorite thing about being in a fashion show?
I love the fact that we are raising money for a charity. I wouldn’t normally be a “runway” model as I am too short and probably too “big” but I can do it here, AND make some cash for a Charity.

Does this year’s charity (the American Diabetes Association) fit into your life at all?
This Charity is VERY close to my heart. It is something I try to raise money for or donate to any chance I have. My mother has been Diabetic since she was a young child, and has already lost a leg to the disease. Among other medical complications a 59 year old woman should not deal with. And Chris Peterlin. The MAN who made this all happen. I owe this man so much. He believed in me, when even I didn’t. If it wasn’t for his encouragement I wouldn’t still be modeling. I will do whatever I can to help him.

Do you have any fundraising tips?
Just keep at it!

If you could be a fruit, what fruit would you be and why?
Passion fruit of course! I don’t think there needs be much explanation, anyone who knows me knows I am a very passionate person!
